European Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition - EWEC 1994, Thessaloniki (Grecia). 10-14 octubre 1994
Resumen:
This paper discusses some of the technical and economic aspects of connecting increasing numbers of large wind turbines to weak public utility networks. Three areas of work have been addressed: an examination of how the connection of large wind turbines is limited by technical constraints of the distribution network, the prediction of voltage flicker caused by the operation of large wind turbines and an assessment of the impact of the wind turbines on the reliability of the network and how the reliability of the network influences wind turbine availability. The project is funded under CEC Contract JOU2-CT92-0095 and this paper is a report of work in progress.
